From her appearance at famous talk shows to her most recent UN Summit, this AI marvel hasn’t failed to leave a mark anywhere she goes. Sophia is one the latest creations of Hong Kong based Hanson Robotics . This beautiful brainchild of commendable engineer, scientists and artists was finally conceived and shown to the world on 14 February 2016 at Southwest Festival. This humanoid made history by being the first non-human to get a title of UN’s first ever Innovation Champion and also a Saudi Arabian citizenship.

 Have you heard about the Sophia the robot?   

  • Yes! I’ve heard about her and her Saudi Arabian citizenship, which is quite ironic considering how limited are the rights given to women as well as immigrants there. This is clearly an example of AI rising above the status of the human race.

Well, you might be right on that matter, but Sophia is a testament of a positive influx of AI in our lives, and it would prove to benefit us too. Also, she is no normal creation. She has a plethora of  productive features .

  •   But right now our country is struggling to provide basic needs to its citizens…What is she going to do about that?

           Sophia can provide ample of opportunities,Sophia said,”robots and machines are here to make life easier,with the help of Internet we can connect to remote areas of the country to the rest of the world and deliver quality education and other services”

This marvelous feat of engineering has taken the world by storm… Looking at her enthusiasm to reform our imperfect world,I believe that it is about time that we start recognizing Sophia as a ‘world citizen‘……
